Lumidoc accepts PDF, DOCX (Microsoft Word), and PPTX (Microsoft PowerPoint) files. This includes scanned documents, handwritten notes, and dense slide decks. Our AI-powered OCR handles all of them. Image files such as PNG, JPG, WEBP, AVIF are also supported.

Lumidoc uses high-accuracy OCR combined with AI to extract all text, tables, images, and formatting from your documents. You can optionally apply AI presets (like "Optimized for Studying" or "Key Points Only") to reshape the content before rendering.

AI presets let you choose how the content is reshaped before export. "Optimized for Studying" highlights key terms, "Key Points Only" distills the essence, and "AI Cleanup" fixes grammar and formatting.

We currently offer Clarity, Meridian, Study Notes, Typewriter, Rose Pine, and more. Themes control the entire visual language of your exported PDF: typography, spacing, color palette, and layout.

No passwords to remember. We support Magic Link (click a link in your email and you're instantly in) and Google OAuth for a one-click sign-in experience. Both are secure and instant.

Credits are charged based on how many pages your document has and whether you apply an AI preset. OCR costs 9 credits per page, so a 10-page PDF costs 90 credits to extract. If you choose an AI optimization preset (e.g. "Optimized for Studying" or "Key Points Only"), an additional 6 credits per page are charged on top of the OCR cost, bringing the total to 15 credits per page. Creating plain Markdown documents is always free.

Exporting a document using a premium theme costs 10 credits per export. Non-premium theme exports are free. The 10-credit export fee is flat, it does not depend on the number of pages in your document.

The Free plan includes 100 credits per month for OCR and premium theme exports, which is primarily intended for trying out the service. However, you can still create unlimited Markdown documents and export them using non-premium themes. The Pro plan, on the other hand, provides 9,000 credits per month along with access to all premium themes, AI presets, and priority processing.

Absolutely. There's no lock-in. Cancel from your account settings at any time and you'll retain Pro access until the end of your billing period. Your documents and exports will remain accessible for as long as you have an account.
